Worth Going ("we," "our," or "us") provides personalized local event recommendations by email. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
When you subscribe, we collect your email address, selected city, interests, preferred atmosphere, and what makes a plan feel worthwhile to you. We also keep your subscription status, the recommendations we send, and any “Good pick” or “Not for me” feedback you choose to provide.
Our website and email providers may process basic technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as IP address, browser or device information, delivery status, and service logs. If email engagement tracking is enabled, we may also receive information about email opens and link clicks.
How we use information
We use this information to manage your subscription, choose and send three weekly event recommendations, improve future recommendations, respond to requests, prevent misuse, and maintain the reliability and security of Worth Going.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate Worth Going, such as website hosting, database, and email-delivery providers; when required by law or a valid legal request; or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of Worth Going and others.
Your choices
You may update your selections through the Manage preferences link in our emails. You may unsubscribe at any time using the Unsubscribe link included in every email. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information through our Contact page.
Data retention
We keep your information while your subscription is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, understand recommendation history, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we may retain limited records when necessary to honor that request, prevent unwanted email, or comply with the law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Worth Going changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
